DHAKA: Dhaka City BNP convener Mirza Abbas Sunday visited Labaid Hospital to see singer Nancy, who attempted to commit suicide taking 60 sleeping pills in phases on Saturday. 

The standing committee member of the party went there around 3:20pm and spent some times beside the popular singer.

He also talked to the duty doctors about physical condition of Nancy. 

Labaid corporate communication assistant general manager Ashraful Rahman Lelin said Nancy would be released if her conditions improved after 24 hours observation.

Earlier, Nancy was shifted to the Labaid for better treatment from the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Dr Ali Abrar, coordinator of Labaid Hospital, said, “She is now out of danger and undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.”
