LONDON: President Abdul Hamid has reached in London on Sunday evening on a seven-day visit for his eye treatment.

Bangladeshi High Commissioner in United Kingdom Mijarul Kayes and his wife, president of UK Awami League Sultan Sharif and its general secretary Syed Faruk welcomed Abdul Hamid at Heathrow Airport at 7:30pm (UK local time) Sunday.

Abdul Hamid went straight to the London Hilton on Park Lane Hotel from the airport where he will stay with his family members and press secretary.

President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim said that President will not attend in any programs as he made his personal visit for treatment by special doctors.

The President is expected to return home on August 24, he added.
