MRP for expats at home in 2 weeks

RIYADH: State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said Bangladeshi expatriates living in Saudi Arabia would get opportunity to make Machine Readable Passport (MPR) at home within two weeks.

The minister came up with the remarks when inaugurated the MRP outsourcing project at Bangladesh consulate in Jeddah.

Kamal urged all expatriates to come under the MPR by November 31, 2015.

Consul general AKM Shahidul Islam, MRP project director Brigadier General M Masud Rezwan, Home Affairs Ministry’s Security and Immigration Department Additional Secretary Shafiqul Islam and Immigration and Passport Department Director General M Abdul Mabud, among others, spoke at the function.

Expatriates of different professions from Jeddah attended the program.
