DHAKA: The government has terminated a Bangladesh Bank General Manager (GM) for his alleged involvement in corruption and irregularities on Wednesday.

The officer, Golam Mostafa, was the in-charge of inspection department of the central bank.

Sources told banglanews that the authorities, at internal meeting of the bank held on the day, terminated the GM temporarily.
