TANGAIL: Two persons were killed including a woman in two separate road accidents in Salla area under Kalihati upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Rekha Begum, 40 and Tapan, 35, hailed from Sherpur.

Sources said that Rekha was run over under the bus after a rashly driven truck knocked an out of service passenger bus from behind, leaving her dead on the spot.

On the other hand, a recklessly driven truck hit another truck in the same area, leaving truck driver Tapan dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spots and sent the bodies to Tangail Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Bangabandhu Bridge East Thana Anisur Rahman Ashikin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
