DHAKA: A woman and her 15-year-old son succumbed to their burn injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Friday.

The deceased were identified as Selina Akhter, 38, and Anik. 

They sustained severe burn injuries in an explosion at a medicine shop in Fatulla of Narayanganj on last Monday.

Anik died there at 12:00pm on the day. Selina also died there at 4:00pm.

Hospital’s on-duty doctor Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On Monday, seven people including that of three of a family were injured when an explosion took place at the medicine shop.

Five of the injured were undergoing treatment at DMCH. Of them, two died on Friday.
