SYLHET: A person was killed while two others were injured in a road accident in Hasikapon area of Osmani Nagar on Dhaka-Sylhet highway on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Azmal Mia, 22, son of Iman Ali, of Burunga union of Osmani Nagar.

Witnesses told banglanews that a private car collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving three people injured.

They were rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared Azmal dead.

Osmani Nagar Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jobaer Ahmed said police, however, seized both the vehicles and sent the body to the morgue for autopsy.
