SYLHET: Police detained a person with 18 gold bars and 17 mobile phone sets from Osmani International Airport on Saturday noon.
The detainee is Joynal Abedin, 32, son of Ishak Ali of Jakiganj upazila of the district.
Airport Immigration Officer-in-Charge Khairul Sajal told banglanews that, acting on a tip off, law enforcers searched the passengers of flight BG-052 and found the gold bars and cell phone sets to Joynal.
