DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), after six months of investigation of his wealth, has summoned ruling Awami League from Rajshahi-4 constituency Engineer Enamul Haque MP.
The anti-graft body issued notice to the lawmaker asking him to report at its office on Tuesday.
ACC sources confirmed the matter to banglanews on Saturday.
The commission, in a meeting on January 22, decided to investigate into the sources of wealth of former Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr AFM Ruhul Haque, former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Affairs Advocate Abdul Mannan Khan, State Minister for Water Resources Affairs Mahbubur Rahman Talukder, Abdur Rahman Bodi MP from Cox’s Bazar-4 constituency, Aslamul Haque MP from Dhaka-12, Engineer Enamul Haque MP from Rajshahi-4 and MA Jabbar MP from Satkhira-2 constituency.
After six months of the investigation, on August 21, ACC filed cases against Advocate Abdul Mannan Khan, Abdur Rahman Bodi and Mahbubur Rahman Talukder with Ramna Model Thana in city.
