DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday categorically said BNP is power-snatching political party as they born and assumed power by treading blood.
Sheikh Hasina made the observation after inaugurating a photograph album show titled ‘Jamaat-BNP Mayhem in Bangladesh’ at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in city.
Criticising Chhatra Shibir for violent demonstrations during the January 5 elections, she said, “Killing is their (Chhatra Shibir) task. They did so during 1971.”
Indicating BNP leaders, the AL chief said, “I would like to say them, do politics if you like but do not kill people. Do not stage demonstrations to kill people. Do not express joy by pushing people’s lives in darkness.”
She added: “What they will give to people, who do not value people’s lives, do not believe in democracy, in constitution and in the independence of the country?” she added.
Hasina also urged countrymen to be aware about further conspiracy by BNP-Jamaat.
