CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Two people, including a student were killed in separate road accidents in Shibganj upazila of the district on Monday.

Of the deceased, the student was identified as Tareq, son of one Tozammel Haque, hailed from Biswanathpur in Kansat union of the upazila.

Sub-Inspector of Shibganj Thana Bani told banglanews a rashly driven truck crushed into a bicycle of Tareq on Kansat-Choudala road while returning from school, leaving him injured critically.

Local people rushed him to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries.

On the other hand, another truck rammed a bicyclist on Kansat-Binodpur road of the upazila, leaving him dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex for autopsy, SI Bani added.
