DHAKA: A construction worker was electrocuted in a building at Shewrapara of Mirpur in the city on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 22, hailed from Bhola district.

Sources said that the victim was spraying water at ninth floor in the under-construction building around 8:00am. At one stage, he came in contact with a live electric wire, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
