NARAYANGANJ: A Narayanganj court on Wednesday placed five Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel on an 8-day remand over much-talked about seven murder case here.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Chandni Rupam granted the remand for the elite force officials.

The RAB officials are Emdadul Haque, Arif Hossain, Hira Miah, Billal Hossain and Abu Tayab who were arrested around 9:00am and later, they were produced before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

Narayanganj District Lawyer Association President Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan said they gave confessional statement over the murder.

Earlier, another three RAB personnel gave confessional statement under section 164.
