DHAKA: The government has appointed Brigadier General (retd) Ahsan Habib Khan as new vice-chairman of The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) for three years on contract.

Besides, retired District Judge M Khurshid Alam was appointed on contract as member of Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority Bangladesh (IDRA).

The Public Administration Ministry issued gazette notifications in this regard on Wednesday.

The notification said Ahsan Habib Khan was appointed as vice-chairman of BTRC for three years from the joining date on condition of leaving ties with any other institutions.

It also said that M Khurshid Alam was made IDRA member for three years from the joining date.
