CHUADANGA: Police recovered beheaded body of an extremist leader from Batiapara village under Alamdanga upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Tokan alias Kayar Tokan, 40, a top leader of Purba Bangla Communist Party (ML Jonojuddha), son of late Moslem Uddin Mandal, hailed from Ramnagar Kalabari village under Damurhuda upazila.

Police said that locals called police after seeing the body in the area around 9:00am.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

On the other hand, giving identity as a leader of Purba Bangla Communist Party (ML Jonojuddha) a man phoned a local media and admitted the guilt of killing.

Confirming the matter Chuadanga Assistant Police Super Kamrujjaman said that ML Jonojuddha leader Tokan was wanted for several killing case.
