DHAKA: Philanthropist, painter, also editor of newsofbangladesh.com, Mahbubul Hasan Pinku was honored with Mother Teresa Gold Medal on Wednesday for his outstanding service to the society.

The medal was handed over to Pinku at a discussion titled “Liberation War of Bangladesh and Mother Teresa” at the conference room of National Press Club on the day.

Mother Teresa Research Centre arranged the discussion with its advisor freedom fighter NA Karim Bidyut Chowdhury in the chair.

Pinku was born at Goalcamat village under Sadar upazila of Faridpur district in 1968.
