DHAKA: A cadet officer was found hanging in his room in Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) in Bhatiary of Chittagong on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as M Imtiaz Mahmud.

A press release from Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) made the disclosure.

The news release said M Imtiaz Mahmud was found hanging by a rope from the ceiling of his room at BMA in the morning.

He might have been committed suicide, it added.

On information, Sitakunda Thana Police rushed in and recovered the body.

Police sent the body to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The body would be handed over to his family after the autopsy, it added.
