DHAKA: Custom intelligence officials held a man with 72 gold bars, weighing around 8.4 kilograms, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city on Friday.

Details of the detainee could not be known immediately, who landed at the air port by a flight of Dubai Airways FZ-SV583 from Dubai at 10:40am.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Moinul Khan, director general of custom intelligence’s investigation department, said, “The gold bars were seized after searching the passenger’s body.  The market price is about Tk 4.2 crores.”
