SATKHIRA: Two bicycle riders were killed when a truck hit their bike on Kaliganj-Satkhira road in Dhopdanga intersection under Debhata upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Mohadeb Ghosh, son of Ranjan Kumar Ghosh, and Kenaram Ghosh, son of Hharipad Ghosh, hailed from Nishchitopur village of the upazila.

Debhata Thana Officer-In-Charge Ashraf Hossain told banglanews, “A Kaliganj-bound truck knocked their cycle from behind while they were going to the local market, leaving Mohadeb dead on the spot and Ranjan critically injured.”

“Ranjan succumbed to his injuries on way to the district Sadar Hospital,” Ashraf added.
