NAOGAON: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel detained a woman with 1,380 bottles of Indian contraband Phensidyl syrup from Isabpur village in Dhamoirhat upazila of the district on Saturday evening.
The detainee is identified as Mukta Begum, wife of Shariful Islam.
RAB-5 sources said, acting on a tip-off, RAB personnel conducted a special drive.
They held the drug peddler Mukta and seized 1,300 bottles of Phensidyl syrup from her house.
She was handed over to Dhamoirhat Thana police, RAB sources added.
