BGB-BSF discuss border crimes

DHAKA: Border Guards Bangladesh officials on Saturday held a meeting with India's Border Security Force officials in New Delhi to discuss border related crimes and other issues.

Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh Major General Aziz Ahmed led the 20-member delegation to jointly chair the 39th Border Co-ordination Conference, reports the Business Standard.

However, the report added that the 23-member Indian delegation was led by the BSF Director General D. K. Pathak.

The forces agreed to implement a coordinated border management plane to curb menace of trans-border crimes.

The two sides have also decided to increase joint security and patrolling along the border to curb smuggling and bring down border killings.
