DHAKA: State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan does not want to believe that the murdered TV presenter Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi had no enemy.

Regarding the killing, the state minister told media that “it is tragic. Every body knows him. We do not want that investigation of his murder goes to wrong way.”

Terming the murderers as ‘cool headed’ as they stayed long time at Faruqi’s house, the state minister further said that he wants to reveal the motive of the murder in a proper way.

The real information will be revealed soon, he hoped.

Earlier on August 27, Channel-i presenter Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi was murdered at his residence at city’s East Rajabazar area. Police arrested three persons.

Moreover, Faruqi’s supporters Islami Chhatra Sena observed a half-day hartal on Sunday.

Regarding the hartal, the sate minister commented that nobody was observing hartal and there is no need of it. We hate the killers and hope they will be held soon.

He is notorious

On Kala Babu, the prime suspect of triple-murder in city’s Moghbazar area, the state minister said that he is notorious. He, earlier, also killed an Ansar member.

We are destroying Kalu and his gang’s den. We have talked to the relatives of the murdered people. We are looking for Kala Babu for past two months.
