GOPALGANJ: A freedom fighter (FF) was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Madhukhali area of Tungipara of the district Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Moslem Daria, 67, of Penakhali village.

Sources said a Bashbaria-bound human hauler locally known as Nasiman plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering in the area around 9:30am, leaving the freedom fighter dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were admitted to upazila health complex, said a spot account of the incident.

Tungipara Thana Officer-in-Charge Monirul Islam said, on information, police recovered the body.
