DHAKA: A man was killed as he fell from the fifth floor of a building in Nilhkhet area of the capital on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Razzak Patwari, 50, a paint worker, hailed from Haziganj Thana of Comilla. 

Family sources said that the victim fell from fifth floor of Dhaka University Staff Quarter Building number 141 while he was painting walls there around 9:00am, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 10:00am.
