City road crash kills ‘ill fated’ Yasin

DHAKA: The ‘ill fated’ Bihari Yasin Ali, 55, who earlier lost his nine family members, including wife and children during Kalshi Tragedy, died in a road accident on Saturday.

Sources said he was injured critically when two vehicles knocked him in front of Mirpur Purabi Cinema Hall around 10:00am.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 2:15pm.

Cousin of the deceased Nahida said Yasin, who was living at Kurmitola Bihari Camp in Mirpur-12 with his daughter Farzana, suffering from burnt injury since the Mirpur Kalshi Tragedy, came out for buying his daughter’s medicine.

Earlier on June 14, nine of Yasin’s family members were burnt to death over clashes between two groups of Bihari at Kalshi in city’s Pallabi area on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.
