Youth stabbed dead in capital

DHAKA: Miscreants stabbed a youth to death in South Pirerbagh area at Mirpur in the capital on Sunday evening.

The deceased was identified as Yasin, 18, son of late Shah Alam of Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali district. 

Yasin used to live in South Pirerbagh area and worked in a motor-garage in city’s Agargaon.

Deceased’s mother Selina said Yasin went out of the house in the evening to return his friends mobile-phone set. After some time they were informed that he was stabbed in the area.

Yasin was rushed to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital. 

Later, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) as his condition was deteriorated. But he succumbed to his injuries around 8:50pm.

DMCH police camp in-charge Sub-inspector Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
