SATKHIRA: A robber sustained bullet injury and three policemen were injured in a gunfight in Moutala union under Kaliganj upazila of the district early Monday.

The injured policemen are- Hafiz, Jabbar and Javed.

Sources said that on information, police conducted a drive in the area around 12:30am. Sensing the presence of police, the dacoits opened fire targeting them and exploded cocktails. Police also retaliated, leaving three police men and a robber injured.

Later, the injured robber was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.

Kaliganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Emdadul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
