COMILLA: Law enforcers arrested the vice-chairman of Burichong upazila parisad Saiful Islam, also Jamaat-e-Islami leader of the upazila, of the district early Tuesday.

Kotwali Thana Police arrested Saiful Islam from his Racecourse area residence.

Inspector of Kotwali Thana Samsuzzaman told banglanews that they have arrested Saiful Islam in an embezzlement case.

We will produce him before the court on Tuesday noon, he added.
