DHAKA: M Khair Ahmed, father of Senior Newsroom Editor of banglanews24.com Rubaiat Sultana Saky, passed away at a clinic in the port city Chittagong on Wednesday evening.

He was 60.

M Khair Ahmed was a government service holder. He performed his duties as District Primary Education Officer in Laxmipur, Khagrachhari, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazar.

His son-in-law Afsar Ahmed, husband of Rubaiat Sultana Saky, is a Senior Sub-editor at the national daily Kaler Kantho.

He was buried at family graveyard at Zafrabad village under Chandnaish upazila of Chittagong district on Thursday evening.
