RAMU, COX’S BAZAR: A teenager was electrocuted in Nayapara area of north Chakmarkul union under Ramu Upazila of the district on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Jahid, 14, a student of clash eight, son of Amir Hossain.
Witnesses said that the victim was shaking an electric poll to get electric connection in his house. At one stage, he came in contact with a live electric wire, leaving him dead on the spot.
Chakmarkul Union Parisad Chairman Mufidul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
