BOGRA: An official of Bangladesh Army was electrocuted in Domonpukur area under Shajahanpur upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Golam Mostofa, 40, Sergeant of Comilla Cantonment and son of one Monu Uddin of the area.

Police sources said that he was in vacation with his family in Bogra.

Sources also said that Golam Mostofa was electrocuted while he was repairing IPS connection of his residence at the noon, leaving him injured critically.

However, he was rushed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where on duty doctor declared him dead.

Later his body was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Shajahanpur Thana Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
