BD worker killed in Malaysia

DHAKA: A Bangladeshi construction worker was killed and two others were injured in Malaysia as bricks were fallen on them.

The accident took place at Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway area in Malaysia on Saturday noon.

The identity of the deceased, aged around 30, could not be known immediately.

Bangladesh high commission counsellor (labor) to Malaysia Mantu Kumar Biswas told banglanews that he heard about the incident.

However, Malaysia’s popular news portal star online reported that a Bangladeshi worker died on spot and two others were injured as around 200 bricks fell on them at the construction site around 1:40pm on the day.

The injured were sent to hospital, the report added.
