NARAYANGANJ: A man strangulated his wife and a 9-year old son to death in Lakkharchar area in Bandar upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Afsana, 28, wife of Yazal and their son Afzal.

Bandar Thana officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam said local people informed the law enforcers as they did not get any response from the family members of Yazal.

Police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies breaking the door.

The bodies were sent to the Narayanganj Hospital for autopsy.

However, the alleged killer Yazal fled the spot.
