DHAKA: Police recovered hanging bodies of two siblings at their residence in Uttra area of the city early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Alim 15 and his sister Chirosree Zaman, 18.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Uttara West Thana on-duty officer Mazedur Rahman said “Police got their death information at 12:00am on Thursday. Later police recovered the bodies.”

The bodies were found hanging with ropes at the 5th floor of house no. 11 on Gausul Azam Road in Sector no. 13 of area, Mazedul added.

Quoting Joysree Zaman, mother of the deceased, Sub-inspector Khagendra Chadra Sarkar of the Thana told banglanews, the mother had last talked to the daughter about 9:00pm on Monday. On arrival at the house at 11:00pm, she found them hanging in two separate rooms.

Doors of the rooms were closed from inside, he added.

Police are looking into the matter and sent the bodies to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
