DHAKA: Law enforces took alert position around High Court and in all important spots of the capital ahead verdict on appeals of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee.
The verdict is likely to be declared on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media Cell Masudur Rahman said, police has taken all-out preparation to avert any sabotage.
He also said, plain-clothed cops are also being assigned in various spots.
Director of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Media Wing Mufti Mahmud Khan told banglanews, “RAB always alert to control law and order situation during and after the verdict.”
Supreme Court is set to deliver its verdict Wednesday on appeals of Jamaat nayeb-e-ameer against verdict of the International Crimes Tribunal-1 which sentenced him to death on February 28 last year for war crimes.
