DHAKA: Activists of the Gonojagoron Mancha staged demonstration immediately after the Supreme Court commuted death sentence of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee in 2 charges on Wednesday morning.

Led-by spokesperson Imran H Sarkar, 50 activists of Mancha brought out a procession in front of Teachers Students Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University and paraded towards the High Court premise.

They demonstrated in protest against the SC’s verdict that differed with the International Crimes Tribunal’s death penalty to Sayedee in two charges of crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
