BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel and police detained an Indian citizen and eight Bangladeshis for illegal trespassing from Benapole frontier in the district on Friday evening. 

The detainees’ are- Dheman Roy, 25, son of late Mohadev Roy, hailed from North Dinajpur of India, Naran Boxi, 50, son of Nibaran Baxi, Alamgir Hossain, 28, son of Abul Kashem and Mostafi, 65. But others’ identity could not be known immediately.  

Confirming the matter, Benapole Port Thana Duty Officer Sub-Inspector Monir Hossain told banglanews that BGB and Police in separate drives detained them and the detainees will be produced before Jessore court.
