RANGPUR: The district administration imposed the section 144 in Rangpur Public Library ground and its adjacent area on Friday night as two rival factions of Jatiya Party convened programs at same venue and time.

The ban will remain effective from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday.
 
District deputy commissioner Farid Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Farid said that two factions of Jatiya Party led-by State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Moshiur Rahman Ranga and Jatiya Party chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad’s nephew Asif Shariar convened separately rallies at the same place at 11:00am on Saturday.
     
To avoid unwanted situation, Section 144 has been imposed at 11:30pm on Friday, he add.
