15 BD pilgrims die in KSA

RIYADH: A total of 15 Bangladeshi pilgrims, who came to perform the holy hajj this year, died in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The deceased include 13 men and two women. Of them, 11 breathed their lasts in Makkah and four in Madina.

Sources said Mohammad Nurul Hosen, 61, hailed from Noakhali died on September 19 while Tofazzal Hossain, 59, hailed from the same district died on September 18.

On September 16, two pilgrims passed away. They were identified as Mohammad Shahjahan Ali, 75, hailed from Rajshahi and Akbar Hossain, 62, hailed from Pabna.

A pilgrim from Narshingdi, named Abul Kashem, 62, breathed his last on September 15.

On September 13, two pilgrims died. They were identified as Mohammad Sadek, 74, from comilla and Amin Ullah, 79, from Chittagong.

On September 12, Mohammad Motiur Rahman, 64, hailed from Sirajganj and Mohammad Fayaj Uddin, 74 from the same district, passed away.

Mohammad Ibrahim, 92, from Netrokona died on September 11 while Firoza Khatun, 65, hailed from Naogaon, died on September 10.

Sahab Uddin Miah, 69, hailed from Dhaka breathed his last on September 8.

Moreover, Abdul Salam, 77, hailed from Feni, died on September September 6 while Mohammad Shahazan Sikder, 71, hailed from Pirojpur, died on the same day.

On September 3, Masuda Khatun, an 82-year-old woman hailed from Chapainawabganj died.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Makkah hajj mission sources said that they are expected to be buried in Makkah and Madina cities.

However, this year, a total of 98,683 pilgrims from Bangladesh have got KSA visa to perform the holy hajj.
