GAIBANDHA: A drug addicted son killed his father at Rifayetpur village under Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Motin Moti, 52, hailed from Bogra district.

Locals said Abdul Motin and his son Uchhas, a student of class-X locked into an altercation at the house of Uchhas’s uncle at the noon.

At one stage, the addicted Uchhas stabbed his father, leaving him injured critically.

However, he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

Police held Uchhas in this connection.

Officer-in-Charge of Gaibandha Sadar Thana Raziur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
