DHAKA: An eight-year old boy died falling from rooftop of seven-storey building in Meradia area of Khilgaon Thana of capital on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as M Riazuddin, 8, a primary school student and son of M Salamat Mia of the area.

Deceased grandfather, M Suruzzaman, told banglanews that Riaz accidentally fell from the rooftop while flying kites.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge M Mozammel Haque of DMCH police outpost confirmed the matter to banglanews.
