7-kg gold seized at Shah Amanat

CHITTAGONG: The customs intelligence officials on Thursday seized 56 gold bars, weigh around seven kilograms, form a passenger returned from Dubai at Shah Amanat International Airport.

The passenger was identified as Shah Hossain, hailed from Raazan of the port city.

Assistant Commissioner of airport customs Tapan Kumar Chakraborty confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The price of the gold bars is around Tk 2.80 crore, he added.

Tapan Kumar Chakraborty also said they have detained Shah Hossain.
