KISHOREGANJ: Two minor cousin sisters were killed in a road accident in North Kandail area in Karimganj upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Hiramoni, 5, daughter of Manjil Mia and Ashamoni, 6, daughter of Rafiqul Islam residents of the upazila.

Police sources said a rashly driven human hauler crushed into an auto-rickshaw in the area around 4:00pm, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to Karimganj Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctor declared the duo dead.

Police held the driver of the human hauler and seized his vehicle.

Karimganj Thana Sub-Inspector M Najmul Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
