SYLHET: Two cyclists were killed in a road accident in Changeel area on Sylhet-Tamabil road under Jaintiapur Upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Jakaria, 28, son of late Abdul Malik and Monir Hossain, 29, son of Rashid Ali.

Witnesses said that riding bicycle the two workers were returning home from their work around 6:00pm. Then a stone laden truck rammed them in the area, leaving Jakaria dead on the spot and Monir critically injured.

Later, Monir was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital but he died on the way of hospital.

Jaintaipur Thana Officer-in-Charge Harunur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
