MYMENSINGH: Six people were killed and five others were critically injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a tempo in Bagerkanda Bypass area of the district on Sunday noon.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Nasir Uddin, 40 and identity of others could not be known immediately.

Sources said that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus collided with a tempo in the area around 12:00pm, leaving the tempo driver dead on the spot and several people injured.

Later, the injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where the other five died.

Katwali Thana Sub-Inspector Shahed Alam Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
