RANGPUR: A fire broke out in Gudribazar area of the town that engulfed three electronics goods shops and made a loss of Tk 1 crore on Sunday.

Fire service officer Aminul Islam said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit in an electronics shop in the area around 9:00am.

Then it spread in two adjacent shops.

The fire service team doused it after an hour of frantic efforts.

The loss of the fire is estimated at Tk 1 crore, the shop owner demanded.
