Journalist Golam Faruk passes away

MYMENSHINGH: Veteran journalist and managing director of the daily Bonik Barta, Golam Faruk passed away on Monday night. 

He was 55.

Golam Faruk, who was second son of Mymensingh-6 constituency member of the parliament Advocate Muslem Uddin, breathed his last at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. 

Sources said that he stayed his residence, where he suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday around 9:00pm. 

Later, He was rushed to the hospital where on-duty doctor pronounced him dead around 9:45pm. 

His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Nation Press Club in city on Tuesday around 10:00am.

Golam Faruk worked at the daily Samakal, Ananda Bhuban and ABC radio.
