PM sends Eid gifts to war-wounded FFs

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the war-wounded freedom fighters and their family members. She has also sent flowers, fruits and sweetmeats to them on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha on Monday.

PM’s assistant personal secretary-1 (APS) Jahangir Alam, and APS-2 Saifuzzaman Shikhar and assistant press secretary Noorelahi Mina, on behalf of Hasina, handed over the gifts to the freedom fighters at Mutijuddha Tower-1 on Gaznavi Road in the city’s Mohammadpur area in the noon of the day.

 They also enquired about the wellbeing of the freedom fighters and their family members.

The freedom fighters thanked the premier and expressed their gratitude for her noble gesture, Mina told banglanews.

The press secretary added, the FFs remembered Hasina’s courtesy with gratefulness for her gifts to them in different national days including Independence Day and Eid-ul Fitr and Eid-ul Azha.

They said that development of various sectors in the country has been made under the leadership of Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bangali of all time and also honored as father of the nation.

The FFs and their family members wished Hasina good health and live long.
