Dhaka: The 1st Namaz-e-Janaza of journalist and also Bangla daily Bonik Barta managing director Golam Faruk was held at Nation Press Club in city on Tuesday.

He was 55-year-old.

Faruk, who was second son of Mymensingh-6 constituency Member of the Parliament Advocate Muslem Uddin, died of a cardiac arrest at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Monday night.

His 2nd Janaza will be held at Mymensingh University College at 5:00pm to be followed by the burial at his village Poshmail.

Faruk also worked at daily Samakal, Ananda Bhuban and ABC radio.
