FENI: Two people were killed in a road accident in Muhuriganj area of Chhagalnaiya upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The identity of the deceases could not be known immediately.
Muhuriganj police outpost in-charge sergeant Joynal Abedin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said the accident occurred when a Chittagong-bound speedy bus, King Saudia Paribahan, collided head-on with an auto rickshaw on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the area around 2:30pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot and eight other people injured.
Locals rushed the injured to the local hospitals.
